Middletown’s Buttonwood Tree announces upcoming shows; Ameranouche Gypsy jazz trio perform April 17

Ameranouche, a New Hampshire-based Gypsy jazz/acoustic world music trio, are set to perform at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10. Ameranouche features Richard “Shepp” Sheppard on solo guitar, Jack Soref on rhythm guitar, and Michael Harrist, upright bass, and is a winner of the “Best of New Hampshire” award, as well as being veterans of the famed Newport Jazz Festival. The group tours nationally, year-round, and has released four albums of largely original music inspired by the legendary Gypsy guitarist, Django Reinhardt.

Ameranouche’s new CD “HOT!” is a collection of originals that were written to give musical voice to the motion of this life we all share.

“National Lampoon” film director, Kevin Wheatley, calls Ameranouche “the new sound of America.” After hearing them sail through a tune with versatile musicality, and signature, jaw-dropping velocity, you’ll understand his enthusiasm. Visit www.ameranouche.com for more.
